Alright, let’s talk about the Switch 2 dock for a second, because I need to get something off my chest. Nintendo makes this incredible little handheld, this marvel of portable gaming, and then hands you a dock the size of a toaster oven and says ‘here, plug this into your wall and never leave the house again.’ That’s the plan? That’s it? You built a PORTABLE console and then handed me a piece of furniture. Make it make sense.

So the Covert Dock 3 shows up, and it’s doing the thing the original dock refuses to do, which is exist in a bag without taking up the same real estate as your actual shoes. Fast charging, built in, no separate brick you have to hunt down at 11pm because somebody ‘borrowed’ it. It folds down small enough to disappear next to the console itself. Revolutionary concept: a travel accessory that actually travels.

And look, I’ve seen these other ‘travel docks’ that show up trying to solve the same problem, and half of them are running some kind of con. They plug in, sure, technically, the light turns on, everybody’s happy — except your battery’s crawling up one percent every twenty minutes like it’s got somewhere better to be. That’s not charging, that’s a rumor of charging. This one actually does the job at real speed, which, I cannot believe I have to say that like it’s a bonus feature and not the baseline requirement.
