CITIZEN Eco-Drive Imperial Battle Death Star Watch — Wear the Dark Side, Skip the Battery Aisle
Somebody at Citizen looked at the entire Star Wars roster and decided the actual villains deserved a watch too, not just the heroes with the lightsabers and the redemption arcs. Good call — a TIE fighter panel silhouette makes for a genuinely striking case shape, and nobody was doing anything that interesting with the Rebel side.
This is the Imperial Battle edition — a 42mm angled hexagonal case in gray IP stainless steel, shaped to echo an actual TIE fighter panel instead of just being a round watch with a sticker on it. The red-and-black dial carries embossed artwork of the Death Star itself as the backdrop, with a swarm of TIE Fighters worked into the design and the Galactic Empire crest sitting at 12 o’clock — the same crest shows up again on the caseback.
Eco-Drive runs the whole thing, powered by the J810 movement, meaning it charges off any light source and never needs a battery replacement. No trip to a watch counter, no dead watch discovered on the one day you actually wanted to wear it — it just keeps running as long as it sees light.
The hexagonal case shape is the real design risk here, and it pays off. Most Star Wars watch collaborations put the artwork on a standard round case and call it a day; this one actually changed the case geometry to match the theme, which is a bigger commitment than most licensed watches bother making.
