COOLHOOD 65-Inch Smart Board Review for 2026: First Look at a 4K Touchscreen Whiteboard That Wants to Run Your Whole Room

Large blank wall-mounted display in a modern gray conference room above a light wood meeting table

So I’m standing in front of a regular whiteboard last week, and I’ve got three markers. One’s dead, one’s almost dead, and one is somehow the wrong color for everything. And I’m thinking, this is it? This is the technology we settled on? A shiny wall and some smelly pens? Anyway, I gotta read this one, and honestly, it’s kind of my thing. The COOLHOOD 65-inch Smart Board is a 4K UHD touchscreen built as an all-in-one: display, digital whiteboard, and computer in one panel, aimed at classrooms, offices, home setups, and anybody who wants a giant tablet bolted to the wall.

Quick heads-up before we get into it: this first look is based on the product listing and what COOLHOOD says about this board. We haven’t put our hands on one yet. We’ll update this post with a full hands-on review, and when that update lands, you’ll see it right here at the top.

What it actually is

Most people hear smart board and picture a TV with a touch overlay that still needs a laptop plugged in to do anything useful. COOLHOOD pitches this one as an all-in-one computer: the 4K touchscreen is the whiteboard, and the brains live inside the panel. The listing also calls out an open app ecosystem, which suggests you can install the apps you actually use instead of being stuck with whatever came preloaded. How open it really is, we’ll find out with one on the wall.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

The pitch covers classrooms, offices, home setups, and small businesses, and you can see why. A teacher gets a 65-inch screen you can write on. A team gets one wall for slides, notes, and the video call everybody’s pretending to pay attention to. And the home office person gets the most over-the-top second screen on the block. But 65 inches is a lot of wall. Measure your space before you get excited, because this is not a shelf item.

What's in the box, and what isn't

Read the listing title carefully: it says Board and Wall Mount Only. So you get the panel and a wall mount, not a rolling stand. If you were picturing wheeling it between rooms, that’s a separate purchase. Plan on drilling into a wall, ideally one with studs, because this is a big piece of glass.

What we'll test in the hands-on update

When we get one in, we’re testing the stuff a spec sheet can’t tell you: how writing on it actually feels and how much lag there is, how good the 4K picture looks up close, what the built-in software really runs and how easy it is to share a laptop or phone screen to it, and how painful the wall-mount install is. The model details and full specs get confirmed against a real unit too, not guessed at now. All of it goes at the top of this post.

That’s it, that’s the read for now. The link’s right there, and check back, because the hands-on update is coming.
